The competition is open to students of secondary schools in Italy and other European Union countries who wish to study Latin.<\/p>\n<p>The Certamen is held in honor of the Latin scholar originally from Ortezzano, <strong>Prof. Giuseppe Carboni <\/strong>(1856-1929), author, together with Prof. G.
