The City of Ortezzano is pleased to host La Pasquella, an ancient folk tradition from the Marche region of Italy that marks the beginning of the new year through song, music and collective good wishes.

Bringing this auspicious ritual to the town’s districts and squares will be Li Mazzamurelli de li Sibillini, custodians and interpreters of an intangible heritage rooted in the peasant culture and oral memory of the Marche region.

The day will take place amidst itinerant singing in the contrade, the community moment of the Holy Mass with the blessing of the banners and the concluding meeting in Umberto I Square, restoring Pasquella to its original value as a shared celebration, social bond and transmission of traditions.

The municipal administration invites citizens, associations and activities in the area to participate and share in this festive occasion, which represents an important opportunity to enhance popular traditions and local cultural identity.
